Friday evenings – starting Friday 17th April 2018.
Enjoy 2 hour leisurely fully guided walks, exploring each one of the 12 walks that make up the:
WEST PENNINE WAY
Enjoy the incredible variety of these walks – everything from spectacular views of high and rugged moorland to deeply wooded and hidden valleys where the early industrial revolution began, following paths and tracks sometimes older than history itself. They are all rich in heritage and appeal to a wide range of interests from wild life habitats to industrial and pre-industrial sites which will amuse, interest and surprise you as we explore and explain their individual histories and occasional myths and legends that have survived to this day.
Meeting at the Bull’s Head Toby Carvery Car Park, Greenmount
at the starting point of individual walks with or without a car.
(Drivers may be asked to help with transport).
You are advised to wear strong shoes or hiking boots. We will walk in all weathers (so don’t forget the sun cream!). Note that there are plenty of stiles and one or two steep inclines.
Sorry – no dogs
