Key: L= left R= right FP=footpath WPW= West Pennine Way
- Exit Car Park and turn L down road
- Turn R on FP opposite the Sunnyhurst pub
- Continue on this FP/track. Keep going up hill ignoring path off to R to Darwen Tower join WPW going left and following route with Darwen valley on the left
